About Arlington: A Brief Overview

Arlington Memorial Gardens was first established in 1934 and has cared for the cemetery needs of Cincinnati families continuously since then.  Designed as a true “memorial park” cemetery, Arlington’s primary landscape characteristics are large open vistas, expansive lawns, stately trees and a gently rolling terrain.  To promote the park-like setting, flush bronze memorials mark family estates and burial spaces while works of art in the form of elaborate statuary are featured in each of the existing twenty-nine gardens.  For more extensive historical information, please follow this link.  Arlington is generally recognized for its physical beauty and in 2002 was awarded the prestigious Silver Bowl Award presented by the Civic Garden Center of Cincinnati symbolic for excellence in grounds management and beautification.

Arlington Memorial Gardens is a not-for-profit corporation guided by a Board of Trustees consisting of community leaders.  Day-to-day activities are the responsibility of the Arlington corporate leadership team and the Arlington staff.  For information on the Arlington Team, follow this link.
